VE 80 - Celebrations

VE80 Celebrations
A combination of events took place on Thursday 8th May and Sunday 11th May. Photos are courtesy of Colin McMillan. We were honoured to have the Troon Army Cadets, Boys Brigade Pipe Band, Troon RNLI, Troon First Responders, and our very own Cycling Without Age Troon Charter, which was proudly sponsored by Troon Development Trust for the celebrations on the 11th. The 8th May event was held in partnership with Troon RBLS. It was truly inspiring and heart-warming to see so many community organisations coming together in support of these commemorations.

A big shout out goes to Clyde Timber on Dukes Road, who kindly provided us with timber for the lighting of the VE80 beach fire celebration held that evening. It was a beautiful and memorable night for everyone involved. Troon TV was there to film the event, and this is featured below. Please enjoy a few photos taken on the beach during the celebrations.

Thank you to everyone who came along and enthusiastically took part in the parade. We also extend our gratitude to Morrisons Troon for kindly providing us with a voucher that greatly helped in supplying the afternoon tea.
